Did you know 80% of communication is nonverbal? Step into clearer communication and learn how to use humor to connect more deeply with others.
In this workshop, you will learn how your body is talking, what information you are conveying physically without realizing it so that you can choose how you come across and add more power to your communication in any context. You’ll learn the three centers of communication in the body and practice standing, moving, and speaking with purpose to land your message. This workshop also will focus on the power of shared humor and laughter to open the heart and mind, bringing resonance, relief, and release. You’ll learn universal rules of comedy, using classic comedy scenarios that teach you while you are having fun. Practice putting the humor in humanity to profoundly connect your audience to your message of love.
- Discover that—Oh my!—you already knew the rules of body language and comedy (all humans do), you just didn’t see them before now or know how to use them for the greater good
- Learn how to place serious content after comic content to reach your audience when they are open and listening
- Understand how laughter is cathartic, too, just like crying, and is just as connective
- Discover styles of physical expression that are natural to you and clear to others
Spiritual presenters can be overly serious, simply out of sheer sincerity. This workshop also is for speakers who wonder, “Is the audience with me?” or “I hope they are listening.” It’s for you who hide behind the text when you long to come out and shine and connect instead. It’s for presenters who like humor yet worry that humor isn’t spiritual or appropriate, or that they aren’t “funny.” You reach your audience most fully when you take them through a range of emotions from deep to light. Come find out how funny your spirit is naturally!
Please be advised the content of this workshop may stretch your definition of what’s holy and will include profanity and lots of laughter!
