Join OSIA for an evening of exploration and experiential training in how to have cooperative dialogue in difficult times. In a time when there is much polarization around politics, race, gender and the like, it can be daunting to engage in conversations for fear of confrontation and greater separation. How are we to create harmony if we’re unable to acknowledge and appreciate the composition of our individual sounds? And are we willing to listen to our discord until we train our ears to hear the chords that allow for the music of Oneness to be played?
In this session, we will explore and play with tools in support of the following:
· Discerning the underlying cause of division and separation in our speaking and listening
· Communicating with authenticity while actively listening for what matters to another
· Cultivating relatedness by honoring differences of expression and encouraging diversity
· Practicing forgiveness for ourselves and others as a tool for Oneness
Attendees will be encouraged to practice engaging in conversations that will leave them empowered to connect with family, friends, coworkers and others of opposing politics, backgrounds, viewpoints, etc. in new ways with relatedness and compassion. /p>
