Spiritual
Counseling Year One
The most essential foundation for being
able to be of compassionate and skillful service to others is the
depth of our own capacity to be fully present. The quality of our
ability to serve others depends upon our inner state and the depth
of our spiritual life and experience.
Participants will learn how to:
- Commit to spiritual aspirations, develop a
course of action and self-assess progress
- Integrate focusing and awareness meditation
practices to deepen one’s self understanding and support
of others
- Explore the nature of challenges and supports
to spiritual development, including the importance of awareness,
presence, and the relationship of the ego/personality and the
True Self
- Learn and practice facilitation skills as a
means to develop awareness, presence and spiritual counseling
capacities
- Use journaling, drawing, movement and dreamwork
to access inner guidance and support for others
- Practice supporting one another individually
and as a group
Integrate learning and practices in one’s everyday life
