Requirements for Completion

Students enrolled in the Interspiritual Counseling Program must complete the following requirements to successfully complete the 2008-09 year of study:

  1. Students must either attend Interspiritual Counseling classes (second week-end of each month, during the school year) or participate actively in the distance learning program (audio materials distributed via audio podcasts, supplemented by participation in a class website)
  2. Receiving personal spiritual counseling, with a spiritual counselor approved by One Spirit faculty (a minimum of 2 sessions per month)
  3. Beginning a Spiritual Counseling Practice and receiving supervision from an approved Spiritual Counselor approved by One Spirit (approximately 2-3 clients)
  4. Submission of 3 recordings of counseling sessions for review
  5. Submission of written case reports, documenting what came up with client and self
  6. Submission of an Interspiritual Counseling Journal
  7. Monthly Interspiritual Counseling reflection paper on assigned reading
  8. Writing a Year-End paper entitled, My Spiritual Counseling Journey, providing insights and significant steps on your journey
  9. A Service Project approved by program faculty
