Introduction

One Spirit’s Interfaith Spiritual Counseling Program offers ordained ministers and qualified health care professionals an opportunity to both deepen their spiritual life and connection with the Divine as well as their capacity and competence in the art of Spiritual Counseling. The purpose of One Spirit’s model of Interfaith Spiritual Counseling is through presence, awareness, deep listening, and facilitation, to assist and guide seekers in:

  •     Experiencing their connection to God, the Divine, or a Power larger than oneself
  •     Recognizing and listening to the Divine’s guidance in their lives
  •     Distinguishing the voice of the Divine from other voices or powers in their lives
  •     Incorporating meaningful spiritual practice into their lives
  •     Discovering and embracing their already existing wholeness
  •     Connecting with a sense of meaning and purpose in life
  •     Expressing their authentic and essential self as manifested in life through work,
        relationships, community and service
