Distance Learning

All distance learners must physically attend the first and last weekend of each year and make every attempt to attend one additional practicum weekend. In addition, distance learners will have the opportunity to dial into the class sessions and supplemental supportive conference calls.

Class recordings will be distributed through Internet subscriptions called podcasts. Free podcasting software on the student’s computer regularly checks for any new audio files in the class subscription and automatically downloads the audio to the computer’s hard disc. The student can then listen to the audio at their convenience. Since podcasts are MP3 audio files, they can be transferred to an MP3 player such as Apple’s iPod or burned to compact disc in the MP3-CD format.
