Rev.
Franne Demetrician is approaching her third year as
dean of first-year students at One Spirit. She and her husband,
Bob, were ordained in 2003. As a dean her role is counselor, mentor
and compassionate witness to the students she “shepherds”
through their first year of the seminary experience. Born into
the Jewish tradition, Franne has always had an eclectic vision
of her spirituality and has been naturally “Interfaith”
all of her life. She has a deeply held conviction that interfaith
and interspiritual understanding are at the heart of the Jewish
concept of “tikkun olom” (healing the world) and sees
One Spirit as a catalyst for that understanding and healing. Franne
considers her role at One Spirit to be a great honor and an opportunity
to serve her greater community. She has been a nationally certified
massage therapist and Reiki practitioner for close to ten years,
has a successful home-based massage practice, and has 15+ years
of experience in corporate administration. She also has a lifelong
passion for music, art and the creative process. She and her husband
have founded and host a monthly meeting of the Common Ground Interfaith
Study Group. Franne has vowed to live with integrity, authenticity
and mindfulness; to be a conduit for God’s creativity and
love; and to live with the consciousness of the Universe as a
harmonious Oneness.
