One Spirit Interfaith Ministers
The One Spirit Interfaith Seminary training program graduates ministers
who:
• Recognize that our spiritual
growth may be enhanced by exploring the wisdom and practices of
other traditions.
• Are committed to their own spiritual life as the foundation
for serving the evolution of human consciousness as a whole.
• Seek to support others in developing an inclusive, InterSpiritual
perspective, and in cultivating an authentic spiritual life.
Our seminary prepares its graduates
to serve in the emerging InterSpiritual age. Recent studies have
estimated that more than 50 million Americans are seeking alternative
modes of spiritual experience and expression. Many of these people
are religiously unaffiliated. Others are seeking a deeper experience
of their own religious heritage that is informed by the spiritual
wisdom of other religions.
One Spirit Interfaith ministers
serve as guides and companions to this growing population. Our graduates
are trained to support the development of an authentic spiritual
life that draws from the riches of many traditions.
The emergence of the InterSpiritual
perspective has added a new dimension to the understanding of Interfaith
exploration. We live in an exciting time when people of all traditions
(and no tradition) feel free to explore other spiritual paths experientially,
rather than simply academically or intellectually. Augmenting the
wisdom and spiritual practices of our own tradition with the insights
and practices of other traditions allows us to forge a path of spiritual
development uniquely suited to our individual journey. |
