INTERFAITH MINISTRY

Introduction: Our Educational Philosophy

Why this Approach?

What is Essential Spirituality?

One Spirit Interfaith Ministers

Introduction: Our Educational Philosophy

Traditionally, the Interfaith movement has referred to a dialogue between people strongly identified with one particular religious tradition. The willingness to engage in this dialogue remains a vital need in our local communities and in the global community as well. The effects of religious intolerance and hatred are tragic and devastating. These Interfaith dialogues build bridges of communication that open the doorway to understanding, appreciation, friendship, and respect.

One Spirit was founded to build a new form of dialogue on that foundation. We seek to foster an InterSpiritual dialogue where we can experience the deep truth of each faith, apply its spiritual wisdom to our own journey, and grow toward a wider embrace of the entire human family.

Our Educational Philosophy: Essential Spirituality

• Aspires to a healthy integration of body, heart, mind and spirit.
• Uses everyday experience to move closer to what is true.
• Expresses deep, universal truths about the human condition, while supporting individual development of an inner spiritual life.
