Electives
All students, both distance-learning and attending, are required to take two elective courses in each year of study. These are generally one-day or multiple-evening courses offered by One Spirit Learning Alliance. The cost of each of these generally ranges from $45 to $185.

Graduation Fee
The One Spirit Interfaith Seminary formal Commencement Ceremony is held in one of New York City's largest churches. Family and friends are invited to share in this joyous, powerful, and deeply moving celebration.
Graduation fee – $200

Books
Each year of study has required texts and training manuals. These can be purchased from our bookstore. Proceeds from our bookstore are used solely to support One Spirit Interfaith Learning Alliance Programs. Most are also available commercially.

Donations
As for most educational organizations, the tuition we charge does not cover our operating costs.
If you are in the financial position to invest more than $3100 per year in your education, we very much appreciate any additional contribution you are able to make. You may also consider sponsoring all or part of the education of a classmate. Contributions over and above the required tuition are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Make donations on-line here.

Financial Aid

If you are committed to this program, we at One Spirit are committed to helping you make it happen.

Policy
Financial aid requests will be considered only after the admissions process has been completed and you have been accepted to the program.

Financial assistance is available in the form of work-study for those whose financial challenges prohibit them from enrollment. Each request is carefully assessed in terms of financial need and available funds. Our bursar will also work with each student to explore other creative forms of tuition payment and potential sources of financial assistance.

At One Spirit we are committed to helping you achieve your goal of study.

Work-Study
One Spirit has a limited number of work-study positions available for both attending and distance-learning students. Most positions are of an administrative/clerical/research nature. However, we are open to other ideas or needed services that reflect your individual strengths and areas of specialization. Work-study is offered in the spirit of reciprocity and building of community. Your commitment to your work-study assignments will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. Failure to fulfill your work-study obligation may result in suspension of your financial aid and resumption of your financial obligation.

Optional Payment Plan
In some rare instances a student may need to vary from the traditional payment schedule in order to effectively budget their full tuition costs. This must be arranged with the bursar prior to enrollment, after showing the reasons for a variance.

Note: All awards, tuition abatement and aid are contingent upon satisfactory course work and participation. Failure to maintain satisfactory course work may result in a suspension of funds.

Note: All awards, tuition abatement and aid are on a case-by-case basis, and will not be automatically carried over into the next year of study.
