INTEGRAL MULTIFAITH
a program initiated in memory and legacy
of Brother Wayne Teasdale
We are pleased to announce the new “InterSpirituality
and Integral Multifaith” program and curriculum at One
Spirit Learning Alliance and Interfaith Seminary. This dynamic
new program brings together persons who were closely associated
with Brother Wayne Teasdale (The Mystic Heart: Discovering
a Universal Spirituality in the World’s Religions)
and his ground-breaking work in trans-traditional spirituality
and awakened awareness.
One Spirit joins with the international network of spiritual
teachers, authors and
scholars carrying forward the legacy of Brother Wayne (“InterSpiritual
Dialogue in Action”, www.isdna.org) to create an
ongoing course curriculum, events and community programs available
through our seminary, leadership training, public access and
long distance learning communities. This program was launched
in 2008 with the One Spirit community by Drs. Gorakh Hayashi
and Kurt Johnson, co-founders with Brother Wayne of “InterSpiritual
Dialogue” and authors of “The Heart of Brother
Wayne Teasdale’s Vision of the InterSpiritual Age”
(Vision
in Action 2008).
The new program further joins the profound trans-traditional
spiritual vision
of Bro. Wayne with the important skill sets of the integral
thinkers like Ken Wilber and Don Beck. Bro. Wayne’s
books and Wilber’s Integral Spirituality (2006)
are core texts for this curriculum and program activities
include participation by recognized nondual spiritual teachers
and also members of New York’s “Integral Alliance”
and “Integral Salon”. The program, coordinated
by One Spirit President Michael Pergola and Dr. Kurt Johnson,
will expand on a yearly basis to include activities in New
York and elsewhere, including many of our friends and partners
listed below.
