Financial Aid

Policy on Tuition Assistance - Tuition assistance is available for those students whose financial circumstances prohibit their enrollment. All assistance is awarded in the spirit of reciprocity and in the form of work study. Please note, assistance is granted for tuition only and is not meant to offset other costs associated with the program such as intensive fees or travel related expenses to attend classes. Students are required to cover the cost of books, year-end intensives, elective fees and graduation fees. Please apply early if you are in need of Tuition Assistance as funds are limited and finite. Each request is carefully assessed in terms of financial need and available funds. Our Bursar/Dean of Student Finance is available for suggestions on alternative payment options and creative self-fund-raising.

Work-Study - One Spirit has a limited number of work-study positions available for both attending and distance-learning students. There is often a need for administrative hours in the office, but many assignments are project oriented and can easily be done from home. We are also open to your ideas and suggestions that reflect your individual strengths, skill sets and areas of specialization. Commitment to your work-study assignments will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. Failure to fulfill your work study obligation may result in suspension of your financial aid and resumption of your financial obligation. All awards are contingent upon satisfactory course work and participation. Failure to maintain satisfactory course work may result in a suspension of funds. Awards will not be automatically carried over into the next year of study. You need to reapply for the second year.

Applying for Financial Aid - The application for Financial Assistance can be downloaded from our website. Please begin to fill it out so it can be submitted after you've been accepted to the program.

Optional Payment Plan - In some rare instances a student may need to vary from the traditional payment schedule in order to effectively budget their full tuition costs. This must be arranged with the bursar prior to enrollment, after showing the reasons for a variance.

Applying for Financial Aid - The Financial Assistance Application may be downloaded from this website or sent to you by emailing admissions@onespiritinterfaith.org or calling 212.931.6840 x51
