Creating a Ceremonies Based Ministry allows each participant to explore the psycho/spiritual principals of success while learning solid business skills. During the four sessions of this class you will gain the skills and the confidence to begin your new career as a minister. In-class curriculum focuses on visioning, specific marketing skills, basics of setting up a small business, role play practice, and an evening of internet marketing. Classes focus on wedding ceremonies, the most common way we are called to serve, while holding the space for all ministers to explore their personal expression of ministry.
 Upon completing the four sessions of this class you will:
Have a clear vision of your ministry
Know the business basics needed to get started
Have a marketing and action plan to put to into work
Gain the confidence and skills to officiate at weddings and other life cycle ceremonies
Who should take this class
Ministers who want to explore how they are called to service in a safe supportive atmosphere
Ministers who feel called to serve as officiates for weddings and other ceremonies.
Those who have never endeavored into an entrepreneurial venture

Susan Turchin serves One Spirit Learning Alliance as the Director of Enrollment and Community. She is currently on leave from her role as Senior Dean of the Second Year Seminary Class. Susan’s ceremony based ministry chose her more than 11 years ago, when her neighbors asked her to officiate at her very first wedding. She took her skills learned from more than 20 years in the business world, applied them her new craft and now performs 30 to 50 ceremonies each year. Susan has created and teaches Ceremonies Based Ministry to impart this knowledge to others who are called to this work.
