The Course of Awakening is a two semester course which can be signed up for one semester at a time. Each class builds upon the previous one, so that we can explore the unfolding of awakening in an ongoing and in-depth way. The Course presents the direct experience of Awake Awareness, which is at the heart of all mystical and non-dual teachings. Being Awake is our natural condition, not something that is created or earned. Most of us have not been aware of this. We can rediscover the freedom of Awake Awareness that is already here as we learn how to look, where to look, what to look for and who is looking. Loch presents an easily understandable framework for this paradoxical journey of waking-up from our mistaken identity, "waking-in" to an embodied life and "waking-out" to relationship and activity. Each class will include a talk, dialogue, meditation and inquiry aimed at helping students re-connect to Awake Awareness at any time.
The first class is an introductory session to allow you to see if this is a useful approach at this point in your life. You may register for this class only and you may then elect to upgrade your registration for the full course of study.
Recordings and Transcripts of The Course of Awakening will be available for download to everyone in the class, allowing for review of material by attending students and ability to read and listen if you are unable to attend a particular class.
COST: Classes 1-4: Public, $325; OSIS Students and Alumni, $300
Intro Class on 10/18: $85 You may upgrade to continue the 4-class series at any time after the Intro class for an additional $240 Public, $215 OSIS student or Alumni.

 Loch Kelly, MDiv., LCSW has a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and a Masters from Union Theological Seminary in Psychiatry and Religion, where he was awarded a fellowship to study Buddhism and Advaita in Sri Lanka, India and Nepal from 1981-1982. A licensed psychotherapist, Loch was asked to teach meditation by Mingyur Rinpoche and the direct path of non-duality by Adyashanti.
