What
is Conscious Leadership?
The world is calling out for a new level of consciousness and a
new view of human possibility both individually and collectively
to meet the challenges we face today. We yearn to find a larger
perspective for living and a new way of being more effective in
our work, our families, our communities and our world. It is a yearning
to act from our inner depths and to live authentically in our various
callings while simultaneously serving the greater whole.
In the past one typically aligned oneself with the philosophy and
traditions of the dominant local religious organization to find
meaning in life. Today, many are no longer limited to one viewpoint
or framework. We want the insight of contemporary knowledge;, we
want the wisdom of the ancient traditions. We want the depth of
the mystic, the understanding of the psychologist, the strength
of the healer, the courage of the warrior and the skill of the facilitator.
Today’s leader must make critical choices in the midst of
constantly changing, complex situations and conditions. Modern day
challenges require the leader to develop the capacity to hold ambiguity,
anxiety and paradox. Today’s leader must develop creative
imagination, vision and the capacity for action with integrity and
courage on behalf of the greater good.
The Conscious Leadership Institute is an experienced-based part
time two-year certificate program that enables participants to strengthen
personal and organizational leadership skills.
At One Spirit we draw from the rich heritage of human wisdom, wherever
it can be found, to guide the deep inner work of developing a consciousness
worthy of our common humanity, to support the emergence of humankind’s
next level of conscious evolution. In our families, our communities,
our nation, across the earth, and in each of our hearts, the time
has come for us to remember our common identity, and to recognize
clearly that our experience informs and guides our inner journey,
and is central to one Spirit’s vision of interspiritual education.
