Candidate
Qualifications
Each application will be carefully reviewed by Conscious Leadership
faculty to determine the appropriateness of the program for that
particular individual, and appropriate supplemental reading materials
may be assigned to some students in order to address their unique
needs.
Acceptance into the program is heavily weighted on the applicant’s
character and emotional and spiritual maturity, which is assessed
through a written application; a summary paper; and an in-person
or telephone interview.
The Conscious Leardship Institute is designed for people who have
some or all of the following qualifications and qualities:
- An openness to “try on” or practice
new values and perspectives.
- A curiosity about how science, psychology, sociology,
adult development and learning theories have influenced our views
of modern day organizations and leadership.
- An appreciation for diversity and sensitivity
to those whose lifestyles or faith perspective is different from
our own.
- A willingness to share from one’s own experience
and an openness to learn from the experiences of others.
Building healthy community is an important part of the One Spirit
experience. Applicants are expected to demonstrate the ability to
function as part of a community. This entails a commitment to emotional
and spiritual integrity, honest communication, and responsible speech
and behavior.
