A nourishing and playful day of resting in the presence of the Divine.
The expressive arts are a healing, transforming, and integrative force, and when navigated skillfully, they can lead to profound spiritual or psychological insights. The arts tap into the life force of creation and represent one of the archetypal portals to holy connection. In this workshop, three instructors join forces to offer a rich, fertile ground for play.
Imagine beginning your day with a sacred sound healing journey followed by a centering prayer meditation as you prepare to work with sacred geometry and make mandalas. The centering prayer will invite you to find your holy ally, a devotional word that will be your creative companion and muse. Sacred poetry will serve as a way to return to the devotional word as you create and play.
The workshop affords participants opportunities to experience firsthand the power and beauty of sacred sound and vibrational healing, experiment with a variety of creativity modalities—no art experience is necessary, and you will take home two different mandalas, learn new and easy-to-use tools for group work or individual mentoring/ counseling, practice self-care through play, and nourish yourself.
Please Note: This workshop will require some materials to purchase in advance totaling approximately $15-$25 (US). You will be provided with a list and suggested places to purchase the items before the class dates. There will be some materials made available to attending students.
